GreenHouse Mentoring

GreenHouse Mentoring is a community project of Stopsley Baptist Church. GreenHouse Mentoring offers screened trained volunteer mentors for one-to-one relationships for young people in Luton UK. Mentors have all received acceptable enhanced DBS disclosures, two references and attended at least 7 training sessions. All mentors are supported by a personal supervisor.

GreenHouse Mentors will meet with a young person for about an hour each week during term time (and sometimes in the holidays too). Activities can be pool; learning a craft, bar football, meeting at our GHM cafe, computer games, … in fact anything that the mentor, young person and GHM agree on!

Meetings are normally at The GreenHouse, a school, a local Children’s Centre or occasionally at a public place in the Luton area. Overall a mentoring relationship is rewarding and exciting for both the young person and their Mentor and will be based on openness and honesty throughout whilst motivating the young person to reach their goals!

‘GreenHouse Mentoring is an equal opportunities organisation and we do not discriminate on any grounds. We work in partnership with others to protect our young people, and safeguard and promote their welfare throughout all the activities which GreenHouse Mentoring undertakes’.
